This is a patient who travelled from Nigeria with a diagnosis of congenital facial asymmetry. Ideally this would be treated by moving the upper jaw, the lower jaw, and the chin into a new position as well as performing fat grafting. Because the patient only had four weeks in the United States, a decision was made to meet her aesthetic objectives using implants placed in the cheek, the orbit, and the lower jaw. The chin was also centered and advanced and fat grafting was used to re-create a normal soft tissue contour. With this shorter recovery, she achieved her aesthetic goals and was able to return to Nigeria after a successful three week recovery.
